About me:

I'm an Australian teacher who has been living in Buenos Aires, Argentina for over 10 years. I genuinely love both teaching and learning and am grateful for having gotten to know so many interesting people while doing so.

I've always loved the English language and I studied English (and History) in my hometown at the University of Adelaide. I hold my CELTA qualification, am passionate and dedicated about helping students in their learning process and look forward to helping you!

Outside of the classroom my passions are football, music, vegetarian food and travel.

Teaching since:
2014
Teaching experience:

I have more than 10 years of experience teaching English as a second language to adults (18+) as well as adolescents (11-18 years old) in a variety of settings - primarily General English and exam preparation in private institutions, Business English and private tuition.

I also have experience in teaching students from the consulting, pharmaceutical and banking sectors as well as economists, healthcare professionals and employees from both NGOs (specifically those related to renewable energy) and human resources.

Teaching focus:

My teaching style is quite relaxed and friendly. I'm adaptable, enthusiastic and love transmitting my knowledge in order to assist each individual student in their learning process. I really enjoy helping students gain the confidence to communicate and then giving them useful, meaningful feedback to help them improve.

Professional experience:

I have worked in several different roles and industries, but before I became an English teacher I mainly worked in the music industry. During my time at university I worked at Radio Adelaide (2002-2007), a multi-cultural community radio station where I trained as a Sound Engineer, conducted my own radio show and was involved with live radio broadcasts and artist performances. Afterwards, in 2007 I began working as a Sound Engineer/Production Manager at a live music venue and during the 6 years I worked there I was also a semi-professional musician, playing in several bands. I even had the amazing experience of getting to tour Australia, the UK and Europe!
