Schedule problems fixed

Over the weekend, we made a change to the back end of our system. However, this resulted in an issue with the booking system. It would not load. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The issue has been resolved. You can now make changes to your schedule as before.

Our Employee of the Month award* for July goes to a teacher who has taught the most lessons out of all our current teachers at The English Farm—Aditya! He is rock solid and reliable, always willing to put in the time and energy to teach even in our busiest seasons. Today I have a simple question for you.

Do you remember how to pronounce the new words and phrases you learn in your lessons?

If not, one easy way to practice is by using TEFbot, the automatic recording next to the words in your VocabularyPhrases, and Words to Practice lists on your lesson records and on your edited homework. It is a great way to improve your listening skills, too.

Sayonara, Skype!

Hi everyone,

I have some exciting news. We are replacing Skype!

We have been working for a year on a new video conferencing system. It will enable you to do lessons on our website without using Skype or any other software. It will make lessons easier and calls more stable. It will also enable The English Farm to build new functions and tools to help you learn English. 

Our beta version will be ready by the end of this month. Teachers will be asking some of our students to test the system and give feedback.

Meet Jenna: our expert in retail and healthy living

Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce you to one of our new teachers, Jenna. She is a TEFL-certified, online English teacher who has experience teaching various students from adults to children. Before teaching English, she was a production manager for a clothing company and independently ran the store, made the clothing, and dealt with customer satisfaction. Jenna also has teaching experience beyond English. She used to be the manager of an organic farm in America where she taught children and adults about healthy eating and living.

Need your writing checked?

Hi everyone,

As many of you already know, The English Farm has a homework checking service for anyone using our services—for every lesson you take, you can send in homework up to 1000 characters long. 

But did you know we also have a sister site—a writing correction service called Poligo? Some of our teachers are active there as checkers, and some of our students at The English Farm use it when they need longer writing checked or they want to practice more writing.

Points purchase system fixed

Booking system fixed

Dear students.

We have found and resolved the problem with our booking system. I am very sorry for the problems and confusion this has caused. 

Unfortunately, we had to roll back the site about 8 hours. That means that if you booked or cancelled lessons in the last 8 hours, you will not see that reflected on the site now. You also may not see lesson records from teachers for the same period.
