We're excited to announce that Stage One of our new in-house Business English for Consultants course is out now!
For the first stage, the emphasis is on business English. It is meant to cover around 80% of interactions around an office, ranging from introductions, to thank yous, professional emails, and giving and receiving feedback. Many students may have studied this language before becoming a consultant, likely in high school, but high school English will not lead to success in a consulting workplace. Successful consultants do not only have to get their point across in English, they have to be impressive enough for clients to trust them completely.
This first stage consists of 33 lessons, divided into 7 units. There will be three stages in this course. As you progress in Stage One, you will see that it gets more specific to consulting—you'll be asked to make guesstimates and do brainstorming as well as talk about Excel and your calculations.
You will need a basic level of grammar and business English to take this course. It is for intermediate students and above. If you are interested, please talk to your teacher(s) about when and how to proceed.
