Teacher training
These pages are more detailed training documents for staff to refer to when doing teacher training.
Make sure that you make it abundantly clear to trainees that in order for them to get paid for training, they need to book in the time they spend. They can only do that once they have full teacher access. Full teacher access is granted once the teacher's profile and Skype are set up correctly.
New teacher roles and permissions
These are the different teacher roles and the access they give:
- Teacher candidate: Gives access to the help pages; automatically assigned when a prospective teacher creates a profile at https://theenglishfarm.com/teach
- Teacher trainee: Full access to site, but limited permissions to mess with stuff; assigned manually by Matthew at the start of training (once training is scheduled to commence, ask Matthew to do this). Trainee not in schedule yet.
- Probationary teacher: In the schedule, but can't do first lessons; assigned automatically when a candidate signs up. Manually removed when the teacher is ready to do first lessons.
- Teacher: Full access and permissions; assigned manually by Matthew at the completion of training. Before this role is assigned, the new teacher needs to be scheduled for a long holiday to prevent ninja bookings before they are ready to start.
