The Mastering Pronunciation course is for helping you to understand what good pronunciation is and how to fix it. You will learn what causes pronunciation problems and develop strategies and habits to ensure that your speech is clear and understandable. It will also give you the skills and ability to improve your pronunciation efficiently over time.
This course will not instantly fix your pronunciation. However, it will help you:
- understand why you get low pronunciation scores on English tests;
- realise that pronunciation is much more important than you thought;
- reach your pronunciation goals;
- develop lifelong strategies and habits to continue to improve your English speaking;
- understand that anyone can have great pronunciation and a reduced accent;
- connect pronunciation to listening and reading skills; and
- develop strategies and plans to fix problems with vowels, consonants, consonant clusters, consonant stops, rhythm, intonation & more!
We recommend that after you complete this course, you move on to a longer pronunciation course. Realistically, with dedication and effort, you can master pronunciation and reduce your accent in a year or two. However, once you have finished this course, you will realise that superb pronunciation is possible and achievable. You will also find your own English identity so that your pronunciation goals are your own. Lastly, you will have the tools, skills and habits to master English pronunciation.
