Teacher Profile
I am from a literary family, and my grandfather was the Poet Laureate of my home country, New Zealand. I grew up in a small island community, but have lived in Auckland for over two decades. I love cinema, television, fine art and all kinds of storytelling. I do love to watch the All Blacks and the Super Rugby Competition! I also practice Mau Rakau—which is traditional Maori weaponry. I have written for television and worked in the music industry in New Zealand.
My work experience and education mean I have an excellent knowledge of the English language and can teach you how to speak and write formally, casually and even comically! I will help your English sound natural and sophisticated.
I have over 14,000 lessons at TEF.
I will give you pointers and advice—both practical and theoretical—that will help you engage better with the people you are communicating with. I'll correct all your mistakes, both written and verbal, and make sure you to sound polished, relaxed and intelligent. Take lessons with me to equip yourself with the tools you need to communicate accurately and professionally. I have worked at The English Farm for over 7 years and done over 10,000 lessons.
I have managed one of Auckland's larger music venues, been a legal researcher and document editor. I have written for television, been a stage manager, camera assistant and a television editor's assistant.
I have a Bachelor of Arts from Auckland University, where I majored in Literature and media studies. Smart, up to date communication is my speciality.
