We are excited to announce the addition of two new courses to learn English for law.
Legal English is very different from general English. The vocabulary is often centuries old and only used in legal settings today. Even the grammar can be different. If you are a lawyer or law student working in English, we now have two courses that will give you the language you need:
- The Lawyer's English Language Coursebook teaches the language used in general legal contexts. The course covers banking, employment law, the law of tort, contracts, and company law. This textbook is also a complete course of preparation for the TOLES Foundation and Higher exams in legal English.
- International Legal English is designed to give you a deeper understanding of English when working in the area of international commercial law. It will take you through the English language structures and vocabulary of transnational legal practice. The course uses authentic legal texts and case studies to focus on the language of international law in context. It can also be used to help you prepare for the ILEC exam.
