This course covers the four main language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
It has 10 units. Using general English topics, each unit covers:
- listening and speaking exercises;
- vocabulary and natural phrases;
- grammar points;
- reading and writing exercises; and
- everyday communication skills.
The texts used in this course are very wide-ranging and challenging. Many of the topics are abstract, structurally complex, literary or highly colloquial. You will have to understand subtleties of style and meaning, both implicitly and explicitly. We will work with you through this course to enable you to understand practically all forms of written language, as well as to understand some unusual or archaic vocabulary and phrases.

Each unit covers elements of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
