Business

For our general business course, we use a series called "Business Result" by Oxford University Press. There are five levels. Each book covers a wide range of important business topics and all language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Each book also includes real-world business cases developed by the Cranfield School of Management giving you insight into global business issues and enabling you to communicate at the highest levels of business.

Choose the level right for you based on your English test results.

For your reference

Each book has its own page in the menu below. You will find for each book the following PDFs for your reference:

  • Teacher book to assist you in your lessons. You can choose to teach from this or a combination of the Student book below and answer keys.
  • Student book for your reference and to assist you in teaching classes. Please do not share it with students.
  • Answer key for the Student book. We recommend you have both the student text and answer key open when teaching a class.
  • Audio scripts for the Student book. It is helpful to have this file open as well when teaching lessons with listening exercises.
  • Grammar key covering the key points in the "Language at Work" section of each unit.
  • Answers to Practice file questions, also found at the end of the Teacher book.
  • Glossary of vocabulary. This is a great reference for simple explanations of words your student might not know.

Note

  1. Page numbers in the PDF files do not exactly match page numbers in the text. When referencing page numbers, use text page numbers please.
  2. The Student book is a big file. It pays to download it. The other documents are small enough to run in your browser if you wish.
  3. For listening exercises, you can either read the audio scripts for your student or read them together. The Student book comes with a CD, so you can also set the listening exercises for homework.
  4. There are Practice file exercises at the back of the student book. Please draw your student's attention to these and encourage them to do these tasks for review. Ask if they have questions or anything for you to check each lesson.
