I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA). I studied art and education at Pennsylvania State University. I planned to be a Junior High School teacher, but fate brought me to Japan, where I have enjoyed teaching for more than twenty years. I live in Saitama prefecture with my family and our cat, Lala. I'm a foodie and love both cooking and eating. I also watch a lot of sci-fi on Netflix and Disney Plus. I enjoy chatting about many topics, including current events in Japan and abroad.
